I can't wait to take this break, I miss all of you in Perth !!!

Meantime, Company's having this Moon Cake festival get-together
steamboat + BBQ party on the 19th, though planning stuffs have & always
been my unfavourite part of the job, am still very much looking forward to the night !!!

Felt a lil' blue today 。。。

Never really thought that I would stick to a routine like this every day - waking up in the morning, going to the office, trying to keep myself busy, and get off work early. I thought I was more capable of making myself useful at work but the truth is, I've grown tired of this lifestyle. And am quite disappointed of myself 'cuz I thought am better than this. No one was hard on me, work was never really eating me alive, I've seen peers who were worse off. But, I just couldn't project myself here, in the same spot, even just half a year from now. I remembered a close lecturer of mine told me that, "this pond is too small for a big fish like you" - I was honestly flattered, but I really couldn't see myself fitting anywhere better. Hubby told me that I was prolly too hard on myself, and this work has been pushing my esteem lower, instead of boosting 'em. Am not quite sure of the future, but I don't think I've learnt enough to call it an end just yet. Am always tempted by chances around, but too afraid to make a change, if only I can see through the choices I have, maybe things weren't so complicated itself.

i felt a lil' over talkative tonight,

Jnb's Parloir. checked & now am stuck with his lomo photos and his playlist. i have a sudden urge to travel, without plans, without companions, just me, and my blank mind. and still, Boston is the place i wanna be.

right now. at this moment. i frankly hate looking at the updates on my facebook.
i randomly feel like hating someone. don't worry. this isn't going to last longer than a few minutes. i miss road trips. i miss being the only girl on the trip, i miss lady-first hahaha...

i miss being surrounded by darkness and a whole piece of sky with glittering stars, i feel the earth is round and i laid beside the stars...

i miss saying hi to strangers, i miss chasing trains, not the part that i got myself a 100 bucks fine.

Just back from work, packed everything nicely into my
huge-heavy-almost-stuffed-to-death-KPMG-bag before I
went outta office, only to realise that I forgot to bring it back
when I reach home. So funny I declared myself a holiday tonight.
Still feeling guilty for enjoying this much-needed break even
after 3-whole-months of endless schedules at work. I think
I am officially killing myself being a workaholic + a
perfectionist, a characteristic enough
to make you older quicker 。。。

Time passes real fast, I felt like I've worked all my life already,
when I've just started working for 3 months. Throughout these 3
months, I've stuffed, stretched, pulled, pushed, squeezed myself for
work, I really felt that it's been too much for me I had really decided
to give up many times in between. But, I told myself to stand further,
because I knew if I quit this time, I will quit forever. I'll always be looking
for a new environment, a new job everytime I felt this is hard. I knew this
would become a habit, a bad one. So, I chose to stand further. So, I wish
that one day I can really grow outta this shit and be different. But, it
really takes a lot of patience and faith to keep holding on. I cried
sometimes because all these had made cracks in my almost-
perfect relationship with my love one, but I am too strong
to give up both, or too weak to lose them. I felt words
are never enough to describe what I've been
through and what I fought within myself
ever since priorities have changed.

I don't hate my job,
I don't hate the stuffs am doing.
I just hate that there's
only 24 hours a day.

Have I grown into a different
person, or is this just me?

I miss reading LeLove all day,
I miss taking random pictures with my phone,
I miss food hunting with hubby & the beach strolls every weekends,
I miss editing pictures & changing the songs to my blog every once in a while,
and everyday I opened a new post, wanted to write something new but
I always end up in my excel worksheets trying to tally figures 。。。
I hadn't blog about my happy graduation at Perth, with the most
beautiful fireworks I've seen in my life, and all the greatest
time I've spent with my family and hubby during their
trip to Perth for my graduation early this February.
I haven't even blog about my lovely new room.
Hubby said I need a new lifestyle, or I'll die
working like this one day 。。。
I don't wanna 。。。

I have the best bf/bff/hubby in the world,
he sent me home-cooked dinner at my office before
he went to a wedding today. I smiled and felt so sweet
when I found a set of fork & spoon nicely wrapped in a
transparent, plastic bag, a facial tissue from guardian,
a box of nicely-cut apples & oranges, a rice box filled
with yummy steamed pork & vege and of
course, a Yeo's green tea !!!
He's right, he's changed a lot for me.
I used to do all that, but I've started to forgot all
the little details and he took over. He folded my dividers,
swept my floor, fixed my laptop, buy me sunflowers, and still
I bring it up to him with my temper when I can't resolve my works.
I realize how unfair this is, right now. He is always the caring one.
Maybe what I've always been missing is the 'balance'.
I need a new lifestyle, or maybe just stop being
this stubborn girl trying to be she-
wants-everything-perfect.

I always believe that good things come when you least expect it.

Things like waking up to a really nice weather, bumping into a long-lost
friend, caught with a smile by a lovely stranger, or simply seeing sunflowers !!!
I've been back in my hometown for 3 weeks now & still finding every parts of
it lovely as it used to be. The ocean might not be as clear as Perth but it
still tastes home & I love the clouds & the breeze of hometown wind !!!
I love waking up on my 22 years old bed, I miss it so much ♥

and had this instant connection to the love story.

I love how Bollywood meets Hollywood in such a lovely encounter.

very season when I first arrived here in this totally
new city to me. And a whole year will soon come to an end,
im'ma experiencing Summer in a totally different mood now.

Now that am living in a house, I guess I don't need to correct

Finals were over for almost a week now,

Had a really good slumber throughout the night,

love cuddling underneath my layers of comforter & throw.
I really dun wish to wake up from sleep this morning, I skipped
my MC class again to continue sleeping. Felt like the tiredness &
tension that I brought along for weeks has slowly fade away.
The sleep was indeed rewarding, well except for that same
weird dream I had since long ago. Am not sure what
it indicates or what it's trying to tell me,
but am hoping that it isn't true.

Completed my last assignment for the
semester yesterday !!! Extremely over the moon !!!
I should be taking a good nap right after that to compensate
for my few sleepless nights but in stead, I went for movie with
Chen & Jun (Chen's housemate). We watched Star Trek. Me & Chen
nearly fell asleep in between the movie cuz it was just average for me.
We're desperately waiting for Transformer 2 & The Hangover coming
up soon !!! Heard Transformer's going to be big, not sure if we can
make it to the premier tho !!! But we're definitely reserving our
IMAX experience for that particular movie !!! Weeeeee !!!!

Cats Ball' !!! If not, nice music & songs throughout the nights

Scattered Feelings of Autumn

Just realized I hadn't taken much photos these days. I should have, because Autumn's here. And this would be my very first time experiencing my favorite season amongst the four. My feelings for what's to come are lil' hopeful, a little excited, a little peaceful & these bits & pieces of feelings are somewhat beautiful, if that's the only word I can find to describe how I feel about Autumn now. A little blue, tho. And that was pretty unexplainable, if you're wondering why.

Hubby asked me the other day over the phone:

"Is Autumn as blue as what they said?"

The question came pretty surprisingly from him. A part of it due to the rareness of him asking such a question. Another part was, it never dawn on me that Autumn's blue. Is it, true? But I have certain mood swings in Autumn that I normally wouldn't have at normal times, but they weren't extreme. I like it when it makes me feel calm, but sometimes it does make me feel that am missing something.

Maybe Autumn should be warm,
if we can spend it together.

Nothing feels better than knowing 2ml's holiday !!!

Even if it means a short one !!! Buahahaha 。。。

Heart the weather today, and I thought my gastric from
late last night would have given me a really 'valid' reason to
skip class today & slept through the whole lovely morning.
But too bad, the pain went off so soon I woke up feeling
better than any other morning !!! Bah 。。。

Went to play volleyball with Yi Wen, Pres & their friends
@ George Burnett Leisure Hall near Erica in the afternoon !!!
I totally enjoyed it, and knowing that I still know how to serve
ball gave me much of a relief !!! At least my whole primary
school years of playing for the school wasn't really wasted
anyway. Though I still pretty sucked at all the other
techniques, I practically just did not try to hit
any ball other than serving it !!!
Pathetic, right?

I know I sound pretty crazy, but
am liking the bruises !!! At least it reminds
me that am still a sporting person !!!
Not a lazy one !!! Hahaha 。。。

So volleyball is definitely on
my "to-do's list" every Friday !!!
It'll be whole lotsa fun with these people !!!

Oh yea, did a pretty stupid thing after the game.
I was thinking of walking back to my flat, but I randomly
hailed a bus without looking at the bus no. cus I was suddenly
feeling a lil' lazy !!! Who knows I missed the stop and ended up @
Curtin Bus Station !!! Omg !!! From what was supposedly only
a 10 mins walk home turned out to be more than 30 mins
in the end !!! So very very bekcek-nyer !!!

So, I went to Domino's & bought myself
a really really nice Choc Lava Cake to reward
me being so 'hardworking' today !!!

Had fish & 'random seafood' porridge tonight
as dinner, cooked by myself !!! I started to feel that I
cook better porridge than rice !!! Maybe because that my
rice always still end up being porridge anyway !!!

Was quite caught up with 'One Tree Hill' lately, I didn't get

Did pretty badly in my mid semester exam just now,
had a horrible feeling of giving up for the first time in my life.
Held the thoughts for the sake of many reasons cause many things've
changed, it's not the same now. It's ironic how I love studying here & how
held back my feelings are as I need to keep a balance with my scholarship.
Sometimes I felt inferior with myself, I don't match the expectations,
still I did my very best trying to fit in. But, am just me. That's as far
as I can stretched. And this is my life, as of current.

Am loving the weather today,
it doesn't feel like 37 degrees at all.

Well, I should rethink about trusting weather report here in Perth.
I brought my umbrella to school the other day, and it didn't rain at all.
Bahh 。。。 I love my new umbrella !!! It's black & it's automatic !!!
Felt totally random today, trying hard to get myself into study
and revision for coming exams but failed a few times. Am
thinking of what to cook for dinner tonight, but there's
no vege/meat left in the fridge, I think I'll just have
porridge for dinner today. Buahaha 。。。

I just couldn't stop laughing at their nick the other day !!!

I guess the most interesting thing for me now, to do on msn,

Started to feel a bit tensed about starting the semester,
mostly because now am working and studying at the same time,

rather lazy to get into the study mood. Everyone else in the flat seems

pampering myself with all the excuses to not study... ah well,
it's very different now the life am living, Millie girl is not

Yesterday was fun !!!
Fiona & Meng brought us to Northbridge for Dim Sum
after their Sunday service and we had A LOT for breakfast !!!

One thing I notice about Dim Sum here is that,
the range is very different from those I had in Miri.
I was extremely surprised they have chili mussels
as part of Dim Sum, in the morning too !!!

Finally get to meet Jessica for the first time after so long !!!
The last time I saw her was probably during her primary school
graduation !!! Like her writings & her shots, she is a very special girl,
kinda like the girl next door, if I could find any words better to describe
her. She wanted to do a shot that day with 'Broken Dolls in the City'
as her theme. When Fiona first told me about the shot, I wasn't sure if I can
pull it off well, cause 'cool/innocent/cute' was never my kinda thing. But,
I tot it was great to try something new, challenge myself, and somemore
it was really cool to do shots in the city, busy with cars and people.
I guess I'll never do that in Miri, cause I might bump into
someone I know & it would be pretty awkward ...

We went to Meng's house after that
for change and make-up.

Qing got the Twiggy look.
She pulled off broken doll look very well !!!

Fiona got the exotic Asian Kung-Fu girl look.
Her face was really sharp on pictures !!!
Love 'em very very much !!!

As for me, Jez opted for the 60's look.
I couldn't do much of a doll, but am so happy
I managed to find myself some angles or styles
that I can pull off better, like emo or sweet shots,
2 total extremes of each other tho, hehehe...

Jez did her own make-up.
Super pro lar really, this girl !!!
We stopped by a pretty vintage place in town,
when we were looking for a good spot for the shots.
And you noe, we omos find ourselves guilty for trespassing
private property and kena halau-ed by the security guard !!!
This is definitely something that 4 of us will remember for a
lifetime !!! But the whole photoshoot thing was really really
fun !!! Jessica has an eye for everything, her shots were
beautiful and they were unique for each 3 of us as she
managed to distinguish our personalities thru her
every shots !!! You should see more of her

Good-Day people !!! The Fish's in Aussie town !!!
Sorry for keeping you guys waiting for so so very long !!!
I've just gotten my internet connection (dead expensive) last week,
and was super scared to spend it on blogging or surfing others' blogs !!!
Watching the bandwidth meter drops give me real-time heart attack !!!
But seriously, I miss hometown, I miss home-cook food, I miss hubby,
I miss all my family !!! That's why, when I first got connected, I
couldn't wait to 'skype' them !!! Hahaha ...

A Little Note
to all our families & friends:

Fish & Qing are doing very well here, we've got friends
who are really helping us out with settling down and so
forth !!! Thanks for all your blessings and care, they
really do mean a lot to us !!! Don't worry, we're
enjoying the pace here, loving the beaches &

The very next day we reached Perth, we were sent to join the
other JCUS Scholars for a really fun 3 days 2 nights camp @ Busselton.
Met lotsa nice, amazingly friendly Australians from the program and they
are really sporty !!! Am deeply in love with beach volleyball and cricket
now !!! And am starting to feel the love for sports under their
influence !!! Hahaha ... Yupe you heard The Fish !!!

Oh ya, thanks to the wonderful camp,
We even went all the way up to Yallingup - a world class
surfing spot, and was impressed by their super clear
beach !!! Me and Qing just couldn't get enough
of the beaches here !!!

We've really been to most of the places in Perth now,
the beaches here are awesomely beautiful !!!

We joined Lee Ling's sister church for a
Perth Tour last Saturday, too !!!

We went to many places like Cottesloe, Fremantle,
King's Park and East Perth !!! Took lotsa pics
& loving every single piece of them !!!

Me and Qing couldn't wait to go shopping around town when
we were sent back from the camp !!! Lotsa funny things happened when
we were at the City !!! The very first time we ride on the train, we missed
our destinations by 2 stops just because we didn't know we have to press the
button for the train door to open,we stood there in front of the door thinking
that it will opened automatically (cus we're used the the LRT/Monorail system in Malaysia
ma), and got panicky when it didn't !!! We kept jumping and our faces got
really worried, until an old lady told us to press the button, but it was
too late, the door openned and shut before we could even move our
legs !!! We end up waiting for another 15-30 mins at the bus stops
after we got down from the train to take another bus
back to where we intended to go !!! So silly right?

More bekcek thing happened after that,
the bus that we took didn't stop right in front of our hostel,
but it did pass through one of our main roads, so we actually plan to stop
the bus at some place nearer to our hostel (Erica Underwood House) so that we
wouldn't need to walk back so far. Who knows I was that bad for my sense of
direction, I stop the bus in front of Vickery House (another one of Curtin's theme hostel),
because I tot that it was our hostels, as it resembles the same structure ard
our residential area. Stupid me, we then need to walk for nearly 45 mins
back to our hostel, through Curtin University because this Vickery
House is at the other end of our hostel !!! If we had not been that
'smart' to stop the bus so fast !!! The bus would have stop at
some place nearer to our hostel, only about 5 mins
walk back to our place !!! Got funny ma ??

But, I always believe that good things happened after
bekcek thing !!! If we hadn't missed our stops on the train
and we hadn't been so foolish to stop our bus at the very wrong
place, we wouldn't find ourselves walking back to our hostels and
saw Wei Chen at Curtin University because she was attending her
sister - Wei Ning's graduation !!! OMG !!! We screamed so loud I
think the ppl over at the ceremony heard us !!! We hugged her
so tight, we nearly cried you know !!! Hahaha ...

That's only about what happened on the very first day
we were at town !!! Hahahah ... there's more to tell !!!

next to me that time, to propose to me and

Yay !!! Am officially employed !!!
Starting work today as the KPMG Intern !!!
It just feels so great to be called an 'intern', it omos
makes KPMG sound like Seattle Grace all of a sudden !!!
Buahaha 。。。 dun mind me, I just couldn't get
enough of Greys these days !!!

I didn't expect to be employed in such a short notice at first,
esp. when I only started sending my resume around last friday !!!
Nope, in fact it went all too quick !!! I received the call confirming my
internship from Khim @ KPMG even before I got to send my resume to
the 2nd firm on the list !!! Yupe, KPMG is the 1st !!! It's omos like a dream
come true to work for an international company. Got to know about KPMG
few years ago when I was researching for some materials for my mngt
units. Forgot what it was for, but I remembered I was pretty
impressed with KPMG's role in coming up with it.
Plus, it's one of the big four !!! And that itself,
already sounds very glamorous !!!

And then, to add on to my excitement
about my dream, I got to know that dearest Yawen
got herself employed @ KPMG KL, too few months ago!!!
That really boosted me much to live up my dream !!!
I did ask her many things about the company & I
was thrilled that her response about 'em were

On the very 1st day of my internship,
I wore this beautiful pair of heels to work.

I love them to bits, hubby too !!!
It was totally a love at first sight !!!
I never get to have a really nice pair of heels,
it's either too small to fit my giant feet,
or it was just too fugly big !!!

Ah well, the first day ain't too bad !!!
I was told a lot to expect from internship @ KPMG,
& am pretty excited about it !!! There'd be hell lotsa
travelling, learning, and having fun all along the way !!!
Am totally anticipating everything, and who ever
says accounting is boring??? Me myself, is
starting to change perception now.

But I got pretty exhausted on my very
first day too !!! Because KPMG is moving over the
weekend to Center Point - Phase 1. That means hell
lotsa packing and unpacking to be done !!! Sweat
a lot throughout the day, walked a lot up and
down the stairs too !!! Am so happy I lost
1 kg after a day of tedious work !!!

But too bad, I gained another 2 kg after dinner
with hubby @ Passion Corner after work !!! Bahhh 。。。

Yupe, you heard the news ~ he's back !!!
Hubby made a surprise come-back on the 2oth, our 20th !!!
He totally took me by surprise when he walked up the staircase
to my frontdesk with a beautiful bouquet of red rose on his hand.
I screamed so loud I think my neighbours living few miles away
heard me clearly !!! Just then I realised, notty mama & papa
teamed up with hubby for the surprise !!! I am so overly
excited seeing hubby for the very 1st time after half
freaking year !!! Hahaha 。。。I love you, dear !!!

Too Young for Age Issue?

I was at the Imigration Office today, I had to do my passport. I am super excited I finally own a passport of my own & am more excited now 'cus frens, the fish here no longer need to worry about waiting at the customs and no more admiring at all the jumbo jap cuisine photos @ Escapade that I saw everywhere else but my blog !!! Okay anyway, that wasn't my point !!! Something happened while I was trying to get things done with my passport application.

Well, I was pretty lucky the queue this afternoon, it wasn't really long so am expecting to finish everything early and go hunt for some nice jeans. And after waiting for some time, it's my turn to get my application reviewed by one of the officers at the application counter. With all the excitement I've gathered through the many years waiting for this very moment, I walked up to the officer, broad smile on my face, and proudly passed him all my documents. Of all the preparation done, still there always ought to be something missing !!! And there comes, the highly unfavourable sentence 。。。

Officer : Girl, did you bring along the original copy of your offer letter?

Me : Oh no, everything but that. Can you just accept this photocopied one?

Officer : Not really, girl. We need approval from the head & we need the original.

Me : But then, it's all the way back home & down here again ... (argh)

Officer : Well without the original, the student rate won't apply.

Me : How much exactly, is the student rate?

Officer : RM 150.

Me : And the normal rate?

Officer : RM 300

Me : Alright wait me !!!

It's a friggin' 50% off, okay !!! Talking about gals & discount !!!
I made a call back home to see if dad is coming down town & I was lucky he almost started on his car engine dy. He decided to fetch the original offer letter for me and send it over to the office. Thank god, he didn't scold me for the recklessness !!! I waited, and waited and waited under the heat of the scorching sun. I just wish I could get everything done and settled with soon, real soon.

Finally 30 minutes later, dad finally dropped by with the document & I quickly rushed back up to proceed with the rest of the procedures. The officer was nice enough to let me cut queue. He was keying in my data, when another least-anticipated scenario happened 。。。

Officer : Oh akai !!! Tak dapat, girl !!! Tak dapat !!!

Me : Har what ?? Apa tak dapat ??

Officer : Your age tak dapat dah !!! Dah 21 !!!

Me : 21 years old tak dapat apply passport??

Officer : Bukan, 21 tak dapat use student rate, girl !!!

Me : (pissed) What's the problem with me being 21? Am still a student right?

Officer : Yaya, masih student, tapi dah 21. Jadi, tak dapat.

Me : Huh ... where got this kind of condition one ??

Officer : Sayanglar girl !!! Jadi masih need to pay Rm 300 loh.

Me : U shud've told me earlier. Save me all the trouble fetching a piece of paper.

Officer : Hahaha ... Mana saya tau ?? Muka kau tak macam 21 pun !!!

Me : ... (thanks and no thanks)

Gosh you noe, the one true thing about government policies is that, there is never one 'reasonable' reason behind every laid-out terms. The only way to deal with all the frustrations is to accept them with an open heart !!! From now on, I'll have to start re-adjusting my perception that a 'student rate' does not apply with all 'students' - not when you are 21 and still a student.

Exactly where's the logic behind all these anyway ??

I freaked out to even think about 'Accounting (External Reporting) 260 Finals Paper - Sem 2, 2008' !!! Rumour has it that it's the hardest accounting subject in the course & extremely, highly unpredictable. In fact, the students hate it that much, they even started a petition against it !!!

Too Much Cakes, Am Overdosed

The past few days of my life have
been too much about sugar & cakes 。。。

I found my favourite cake @ Secret Recipe !!!
Thanks to Fang for the recommendation !!!

And few mins ago, I just finished eating the most
wonderful Carrot Cake in the whole wide world !!!
(okay, I was exaggerating but it was really that good !!! no jokes !!!)

Homemade by my aunt !!! She is really good in everything !!!
From sewing to baking, and super nice !!! She's always
my saviour when it comes to birthday planning
and she's my personal baking tutor !!!

Bought home a piece of 'Fruit Gateau'
from The Chatterbox, Mega Hotel that day !!!
It was really nice, too !!! Very refreshing but too bad,
I din get to snap, I'll make sure I do next time around yay !!!
Am sure all these sudden sugar addictions were for some really
good reason !!! They work so well soothing my pressure !!!
Gonna need 'em tru finals til mid of November now !!!

Not Resigning; Just On Leave

I miss blogging, I miss having a life here, seriously !!!
But currently, am trying to keep both eyes on revision,
until my last lab test on Friday, then am off to some really
tantalizing dinner with Ning @ Annie's, and perhaps
another one @ Bavaria next week !!! Right after
which am gonna start burying myself under
piles of revision papers, and get myself
all prepared for finals again !!!

If you're lucky enough, I might steal some time
off next week around & fill you up with some finger-licking
good foods randomly picked from the fish's food folder !!!
(which apparently hasn't been really active for a very long time now !!!)

And nope, I hadn't been procrastinating all week
round now, and am damn proud of myself. Am doing good
with the 'study & reward' plan am up to, tho it looks very much
like am spoon-feeding myself to study !!! So now, am getting equal
dosage of the Gossip Girl, Prison Break, House, Greys, Ugly Betty,
and bla bla bla every week in the intervals of my revision !!!
How nice !!! I spent 15 'boring' minutes revising, and 45
'exciting' minutes injecting myself with another
episodes of bla bla bla every day !!!
Life can be good, ain't it true?

p/s: Just finished watching the latest episode of Prison Break,
Heroes and Gossip Girl. Maybe Heroes ain't that bad after all, I think I
can accept the extend of supernatural power they have (I used to think that
they are over-rated & it lacks the 'forbidden love' sorta element am looking for).
I think Hiro Nakamura is extremely cute !!! He totally made my day !!!
Am loving this 'rewarding myself' system !!! It really works !!!

I guess I do ve a very good reason from missing in action, dun I?
Thanks to Qing and Aeron for bringing back this part of my childhood
memories !!! I cudn't recall the last time I watched 'Roswell' on Star Movie
but I surely do remember how excited I was everytime I did !!! Well,
that pretty much explained why I used only 3 days to finish up
the complete 3 seasons !!! OMG !!! And I actually slept at
6.30 a.m. watching the 1st season !!!

It's really nice, tho it's little old now, ppl say I should be
watching 'Gossip Girl' instead of 'Roswell' !!! But, you really have
to understand the chemical of the story, you just get, I duno ...
somewhat addicted ?? I really hope there's another season
tho I have no idea what's left to show then ... hehehe ...

And you noe wad's the best part about everything?
It's that it doubles my appetite for 'Twilight',
which is coming up end of this year !!!

Maybe it was Sarah McLachlan & her ever famous song ~ Fear
or me being hooked on this alien-human romantic love story, I duno...
I just hope that tomorrow's December already !!!

The Black Apple

Doesn't sound familiar? Hahaha 。。。

Cause it's NEW, new in town !!!
Introducing 'The Black Apple ~ 黑苹果' !!!

A very "extra-miri-ordinary" cafe, it almost
looks a little mislocated when situating somewhere
near the busy Krokop Market, just next to the
ever famous '正记 Chicken Rice' !!!

I had to use the word 'extra-miri-ordinary',
cause I really couldn't find anything close to it
anymore !!! You'll get how I feel the minute you saw
that amazing place !!! And I thought I can only
recall the days at Padungan Street,
Kuching ever since !!!

Well from the cafe's outlook & interior design,
it's really impressive & outstanding. But I felt that the
spaces around the interior is less cosy, well unless if you're thr
for an afternoon tea or morning breaks or light supper, then that's
another story !!! Cause, when I was there yesterday afternoon
during lunch, I can hardly move around, the place was too
crowded !!! I guessed now at this period of time, the
population of Miri will either be in Secret Recipe
or here at 'The Black Apple' !!! The people are
seriously flooding these new places !!!

The mid-semester exams are really killing us.
I've been waking up to logics, crunching numbers,
sleeping with books, dreaming with maths for the
past few days of my life !!! I now declare that
I hate exams, I love assignments more !!!

I'll be having another accounting mid-sem
exam tomorrow morning as early as 8 & I've had
enough reading about databases and drawing flowcharts,
I am now going to blog about everything that I can't
live without during this very period of
my life - the exam period !!!

It disappeared after I entered secondary school right

Bertutu Lunch @ Batu Niah

Hiyay !!! I really shouldn't be here right nw !!!
But I felt so tensed staring at a bunch of logical functions,
revising for tomorrow's finance lab test !!! They all don't look
much logical to me, anyway. Why does it have to weigh so much?
It's a friggin' 30% out of my finals !!! I crossed my fingers I'd
make my life easier doing fine tomorrow 。。。

Thought of posting something nice for all of you 。。。

Hahaha 。。。oh nono !!! Don't be shocked yet !!!
The fish hasn't still developed that enthusiasm for exercising !!!
It's merely just a picture, picture of Niah Cave !!! I din go thr for
hiking nor exploring, I was lured by 'bertutu fish', that's all !!!
Yewp !!! The ever-hungry fish went down to Batu Niah for a
'Bertutu' lunch with the family last Sunday !!! I miss the
'bertutu' there !!! It tastes very different from the one
we had at Berkenu or Sibuti, very different. I've got
pictures to prove it all !!! Read on 。。。

The restaurant, 明记, beside Niah Inn where
we used to dine in for 'bertutu', the cook has
moved his business to his own house !!!

It was a pretty long story for the relocation.
They previously moved their business to Miri and became 成记,
somewhere downhill at Luak, travelling to and forth both places.
Until not long ago, they moved back to Niah and start their own
restaurant at their own house !!! And now it's called
“一期一会” !!! Very special name, indeed !!!

The must-drink ~ 四酸
I can't this anywhere else in Miri !!!

Mani 菜 @ Niah
I love this vege a lot !!! To cook it with soup is also
very nice, too !!! The best place to eat this dish, for me,
would be 好味 somewhere near Pujut 5 or 6, the shoplots
behind a Chinese restaurant called 楼外楼 !!! It's a great
place for lunch & dinner, am sure a lot of my friends
feel the same too !!! I shall blog about it soon !!!

酸辣虾 @ Niah
The prawns are very big, and very delicious !!!
If hubby were there with us, he'll owes be the one finishing
up the 'black legs', I duno wad it's called. But no one in the
family likes that part of the prawns, hehehe 。。。
Maybe we are just pure lazy !!!

酸辣虾 @ Berkenu
Honestly 'prawn-wise', the one at berkenu tastes
even better !!! Niah's a little too sweet, but those at
Berkenu, they're just nice and very yummy, as what
we would like to call it in chinese - very 开胃 !!!
I can do it juz with plain rice & be absolutely
satisfied with lunch !!!

Bertutu @ Niah
Perfectly stemed with oyster sauce and fried
onions !!! Great complements, indeed !!!

I duno if that takes up half a bottle of oyster sauce
but the more the better !!! Hahaha 。。。I love everything
that tastes salty !!! Just look at the meat of the fish !!!
It melts right at your mouth !!! You don't even
need to chew it !!! You just swallow !!!

Bertutu @ Berkenu
The one at berkenu is also very nice.
But the taste is not as strong as Niah's.
Still, your tongue'll be tamed by its meat,
which is already as soft as tohu !!!

I forgot to take note of the prices, but the 3 dishes
we had at Niah + a bowl of sweet corn soup (in portions of 3pax),
5 drinks and 3 plates of plain rice costed us around RM 160 plus.
Am much familiar with the prices @ Berkenu though, cuz we owes
had friends gathering there once in a while during holidays!!!
1 kilo of bertutu fish @ berkenu cost about RM 80 and
1 kilo of tiger prawns cost around RM 20 - 30.

So, hope it helps for those planning some food
trip for gatherings huh !!! I really hope to have my
next friends gathering there at Niah but obviously no
one's gonna drive up that far !!! Hahaha 。。。

Lunch @ New Seoul Korean Restaurant

Yay !!! Another korean restaurant landed in Miri !!!
Me & a couple of close friends went for lunch at this new
restaurant this afternoon, along Jalan Brighton heading up to
Tanjung !!! It supposedly replaced the previous Maru Hachi,
a Japanese Restaurant closed down last year, I love
their salmon sashimi a lot !!! Cus they serve the
biggest portion of sashimi around town !!!

p/s: The 1st Korean Restaurant is situated opposite Boulevard
Hypermarket !!! At the shophouses where 协力 Cafe is located. It's
on the upper floor of the shophouses, called '韩国馆' by the way !!!

The interior
Anyway, the restaurant maintained much of Maru Hachi's
design, except what I just knew from Clinton, that his dad did
a little 'feng shui' scanning for the shop before the opening !!!
Poor Clinton waited for us at Ma Baker for nearly an hour
plus !!! Good luck for your driving test next week, yea
if you happened to drop by !!! Hehehe 。。。

Hahaha... this is very random I know but we actually wanted
to order for that pork leg king at first, but we figured we can easily
have it at any other ordinary Chinese restaurants in town, so we
went for some other more 'korean' type of foods instead !!!

Jinro Soju
The Korean spirit kinda beverage, from what I heard.
It costs a freaking RM 30 per bottle !!!
I better eat the whole glass, as well !!!

I tried it before at 韩国馆 !!! I love the taste of the
Ox-tongue, well I only noe it's the tongue after I ate it
anyway, that saved me from freaking out !!!

Bibim Bap
The Korean fried rice !!! It tastes nice !!!

It looked like this before the ingredients
are being all mixed up together !!!

I love their KimChi !!!
Not too spicy, just nice really !!!
And, the 'ikan bilis' is very special, too !!!
It's crispy and sweet, am not sure how they
do it !!! But I love it very much !!! The side
dishes made the Bibim Bap tastes even
more delicious, wow !!!

Again, the waitress is grilling another type
of marinated pork layers for us !!!
This one smells really good !!!

Kinda 'over-grilled' in the end but it
still taste very good !!! Very juicy, indeed !!!
Tastes superb with the sauces from the
previous pork layers, as well !!!

Honestly, the choices here are not many compared to 韩国馆。
They have much better choices there. But the food at this new
restaurant do tastes special, for me !!!

Wow, what a fruitful afternoon for all of us.
Tho we didn't get our stomach totally filled-up, but we're still
kinda satisfied !!! Considering that the whole table already totalled
up to an expense of around RM 200+ !!! Aiks !!! But above all, we
enjoyed a relaxing Saturday lunch with close frens around,
talking, chit-chatting, gossiping & stuffs !!! Good way
to spend the last few days of our short holiday !!!

Splendid Afternoon
I even caught a movie with Fang right after the lunch !!!
We watched 'Money Not Enough 2', very very touching !!!
Unexpectedly, both of us cried til like what in the cinema !!!
That was so very very paiseh leh !!! Aduhai, hahaha 。。。
But seriously, the storyline of the movie is really nice !!!
It totally reflects our society nowadays !!!

And after I came back from home,
I watched Lee Chong Wei's interview on AEC again.
Cried again !!! Dramatic or wad, me today?? But, listening
to his interview really make my heart felt sour !!! Don't worry,
Chong Wei !!! I had never give up upon you !!! Seriously, he has so
many positive attitudes towards being a dedicated home player !!!
